As you can see from these
pictures I have been very busy at Valley Lodge, our care home in Matlock.
The residents’ dining room
has a large annexe which was just crying out for a mural. The residents and
staff asked for the area to be transformed into a coffee shop. So, having done
some rough outline sketches and discussed with residents and staff this was the
final design we all settled on.
The residents’ kitchen is
accessed via this annex so between main mealtimes the area will be set with
checked tablecloths and all sorts of coffee shop table wares.
The responses so far have been fabulous. One resident said
the mural made her feel hungery and she felt she could just pick up a piece of
the chocolate cake.
