The De Cromwell Wing: Now Open
The West Hallam Care Home De Cromwell Wing is Ashmere’s biggest development in 2009. The upgraded addition to our care home family will provide a full range of residential and dementia care, offering the latest in care home comfort to ensure warmth, charm, and quality care for all residents.
The De Cromwell Wing is a self contained, purpose-built Extra Care Unit providing around the clock care to those residents with special care requirements. The Wing adds a further 12 en-suite rooms to West Hallam Care Home together with a lovely new day room with views onto the courtyard.
The wing is built around a central courtyard which boasts a paved patio area and a host of new planting, making an ideal facility for summer fetes, BBQs and other outdoor events that residents can share with family and friends.
We are also investing in the original West Hallam Care Home structure too. The main entrance to the home is being widened and improved, and a number of existing rooms are being upgraded with en-suite facilities. On-site catering and laundry will continue to be provided for the extended home and of course all residents will have full use of all of Ashmere’s centralised facilities.
