Kidsley Grange Care Home is a long established care home providing 24 hour nursing care in a homely, friendly environment. We are situated on the outskirts of Smalley village on the main bus route between Derby and the market town of Heanor. The home has open views over Shipley Country Park, which has wheelchair access leading to pleasant country walks, with a gift shop and tea-rooms on site.
When full, this home only accommodates 26 residents making the attention to detail here second to none. The family feel to the home makes it homely and creates a warm atmosphere hard to find elsewhere. There is the main lounge and conservatory where all the action takes place with entertainment. Then there is the smaller lounge where you can enjoy the quiet. The dining room and activity area have been recently redecorated and the addition of some new computers means residents will have the chance to learn new skills during our computer classes!
Our residents are cared for by a well trained and close knit team of carers and a registered nurse is on duty 24 hours a day. Residents have regularly updated care plans and our key worker system always ensures that you know who is taking charge of your needs.
All of the appropriate equipment is on hand to ensure you have everything you need to be comfortable and well looked after. All dietary needs are cared for and our caring staff always have residents well being and interests at heart. There is regular live entertainment from singers and musicians along with trips out to local attractions on a weekly basis to look forward to.
There is a well thought out programme of live entertainment and activities including relaxing music, pamper treatments, reading to residents, reminiscing and producing life diaries. All health needs are also catered for, with regular visits from a chiropodist, dentist, physiotherapist and GP when required, you can feel very well looked after indeed. As well as providing hairdressing, laundry service and a library. Regular church services are also held.
