The Firs Nursing Home is a delightful 42 bedded home located near to the Derbyshire town of Codnor. Set in its own grounds, the home has retained its original warmth and charm whilst having been developed to the highest specifications, ensuring that all Residents have the amenities necessary to enjoy our high quality care.
Due to its heritage as a farmhouse, the building itself has a warm and welcome appearance that adds to the very homely atmosphere that is appreciated by all Residents and their families and friends. The home itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens, complete with a gazebo and ample seating. Our Residents make the most of the summer by sitting and eating outside whenever the weather permits.
Staff at the Firs are trained to a high standard, with our Manager having extensive experience in the care sector. Our kitchen caters for all tastes and offers extensive menus as well as special diets.
We frequently run outings and day trips for all our Residents, with our annual Christmas visit to the local garden centre being a particular highlight.
Our friendly, staff ensure quality care for all Residents and are always happy to give help or advice whilst respecting privacy and dignity of individuals at all times. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit us whether it be for a day, respite care or long term care.
