About The Firs
The premises was previously a farmhouse converted in 1984 to a Nursing Home. It shares a site with Codnor Park Residential Home, which is also part of Ashmere.
It has 39 bedrooms, 36 single rooms with 23 which benefit from en-suite facilities. There are 3 double rooms, 2 with en-suite available.
The Firs has an Extra Care Unit devoted to the care of those with dementia. Our specialist unit provides a safe and secure environment with only twelve residents, allowing the very best care to be delivered by staff. We have the same staff in the unit to ensure our residents always see a familiar face.
