Valley Lodge is a substantial, purpose built, modern home offering residential, nursing and dementia care within an environment that offers well-being, friendship, security and quality care for all residents.
The facilities offered by Valley Lodge have recently been improved with the addition of the Derwent Wing and a full upgrade to the original structure. There are now 62 bedrooms, most with brand new en-suites and the entire home has been re-decorated and re-carpeted. The home now boasts 5 comfortable lounges, 2 dining rooms and an upgraded hairdressing salon. In addition, Valley Lodge now contains a 12 bed Extra Care Unit providing around the clock care to residents with special care requirements.
Outside, there is a large new enclosed patio area with new planting, making an ideal facility for summer fetes and BBQs that residents can share with family and friends. The remainder of the grounds have been upgraded too. Decorative walls and fencing have been added, lawns re-laid and trees and shrubs planted.
Valley Lodge is located on the outskirts of Matlock on the A6 Bakewell Road, 1 mile from Matlock town centre. The home is set within stunning countryside with panoramic views of the River Derwent and the High Peak Railway with its historic steam engines. The location provides easy access to Hadden Hall, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath with its attractions and lively atmosphere.
