Thanks to a typically wet British summer work on the roof has been pushed back but now with all the tiles on the scaffolding can finally come down letting us see the new Derwent Wing. Most of the equipment off site means work can start landscaping the courtyard which will become the focal point of Valley Lodge.
With the internals of the building now set out we start to see en suites going in, walls being painted and tiled really transforming the building from a worksite into something more reminiscent of a modern Care Home.
Next stop is the grand opening of the Derwent Wing by the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire on the 15th December!
