The Ashmere Lifestyle

All Ashmere care homes follow a simple philosophy, to provide an active lifestyle, secure homely surroundings and a caring community. Our aim is to give all our residents a worthwhile new chapter in their lives. We achieve this by encouraging everyone to be as active as possible and to share in our friendly community.

Many of our residents have faced a period of time alone at home with very little help. Day to day chores were difficult and may have consumed a huge part of the day. For those with poor mobility television may have been one of the only ways to pass the time. As a result we want to ensure that all the benefits of communal living are taken advantage of.

edited-sheep.jpgOur residents should feel part of a brand new family, with people to get to know and become friends with. There should be clubs to join, trips to go on and new activities to try. And with plenty of time, now the daily chores are taken care of, it just leaves our residents to have a whole new lease of life!

And for residents who have a close family and many visitors we hope that the whole family will enjoy coming to visit our residents at Ashmere, with summer fetes, BBQ’s, coffee mornings, family days, themed food evenings and entertainers there is always something fun to look forward to and bring everyone along to.

However if it is the quite life you enjoy there is still plenty of time and space to enjoy your own company or catch a few hours of rest. With fantastic gardens, quiet communal lounges and your own private bedroom there is always somewhere to go to catch a few quiet moments.
