    As a Care Assistant with Ashmere you will be communicating effectively and professionally with the residents, colleagues, relatives and visitors at all times. You will show compassion towards our residents and ensuring that their needs are met. You will assist with personal care and assist with meal times when needed.     The Maintenance team are looking for a Full Time Maintenance Operative to join their dedicated team. The maintenance team are responsible for all renovations, repairs and general upkeep across the homes.

    This is a crucial hands on role delivering high quality repairs and routine maintenance. The role will also involve undertaking tasks such as general building works, electricity, plumbing and joinery repairs. Along with this general DIY tasks will be undertaken on a daily basis.

    We are looking for someone who has experience in electrical, joinery and plumbing as well as a general background of DIY.

    You will be willing to work weekends, additional overtime and take part in the on call emergency rota where required. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, time keeping and a good all round attitude when approaching the role.

    A full clean driving license is essential to the role.

You will show compassion towards our residents and ensuring that their needs are met. You will assist with personal care and assist with meal times when needed.

    You will be responsible for the running of the shift including staff allocation, administrating medication, liaising with the home manager, GP’s, nurses, and other outside professionals which can all make for a busy shift!

    You may also get involved in activities in the homes and assist our activities co-ordinators on trips out.

    You will need to have experience of administrating medication and possess or be willing to work towards your NVQ3 qualification.

Training

We actively support our staff to develop themselves both personally and professionally by offering a comprehensive range of in-house training courses. These not only cover all mandatory training requirements in the care sector, but they also offer ‘above & beyond’ training to ensure our staff have the knowledge and understanding to provide excellent support for our residents.
