The Firs successfully met the Derbyshire Gold Standard Framework for End-of-Life Care and holds the level 2 Derbyshire Dignity Award.

    As a Clinical Lead you will be responsible for leading the nursing team towards providing outstanding care to our residents as well as supporting the Registered Manager. The role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours a week over 5 days with a varied mix of clinical and management days.

    Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities as a Clinical Lead will include:

    – Managing the day to day needs and leading the nursing team towards delivering excellence

    – Leading supervisions, appraisals, investigations and providing guidance and support to the wider care team

    – To develop and mentor the team to increase knowledge and skills

    – Auditing dependency, infection control, medication and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance

    – Production of rotas

    – Conducting external pre-assessments of residents

    – Implementing electronic care plans and ensuring documentation including incident and safeguarding events are reported to a consistent standard

    – Engaging with residents, conducting internal reviews and liaising with families and external professionals

    – An aspect of ‘on call’ availability and managing the home in the absence of the registered Manager as required

    The successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years management experience and a valid NMC registration. Evidence-based practice and current knowledge of CQC standards and regulations is essential.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Receptionist at Ashmere Derbyshire Ltd’s Valley Lodge Care Home with Nursing.

    Valley Lodge is a 61 bedded nursing home consisting of residential rooms, and a dementia household. Situated overlooking some of Matlock’s finest views, and a short trip away from Matlock Bath.

    As a Receptionist at Valley Lodge you will as and when required to cover busy periods, holiday and sickness. flexibility to work over all shifts is essential. Please do not apply if you are not flexible for all shifts.

    Working hours will be between 8am-6pm split into shifts, Monday to Sunday.

    You will be working alongside our receptionist at our Heanor Park Care Home so we ask that a driving license is essential.

    Your main responsibilities will be to meet and greet visitors into to the home and to answer calls coming into the home, minute taking, and general administration for the home as requested by the home management team.
