Care Assistant – Codnor Park (Full and Part Time hours considered)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Ashmere’s Codnor Park Residential Home. Codnor Park Residential Home is located in Codnor close to Ripley and Heanor. The home is accessible by a local bus service. The home accommodates a maximum of 42 residents; consisting of both residential and dementia residents. We have activities throughout the week engaging residents and continually improving the quality of care we provide.

We have an outstanding reputation within the organisation and the local community, as well as achieving Investors in People. We are dedicated to our staff and residents’ ensuring a high quality of care is delivered at all times.

You need to prepared to work 35 hours per week over 5 shifts and be flexible to work all shifts including nights. Part time hours may be considered.

In order to be successful in the role of a Care Assistant you will need to:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all residents, staff and visitors to the home.
  • Take part in activities that are occurring throughout the home as and when required.
  • Having compassion towards the residents and ensuring their needs are met at all times.
  • When required assist residents to external appointments.
  • Assist with personal care and occasionally assisting with meal times.
  • Continually work as part of a team

The calibre of care assistant we are looking for will have the following attributes:

  • Have a kind and caring nature putting the needs of residents at the front of your mind
  • The willingness and ability to go above and beyond for the home and residents
  • Have a positive attitude and should be reliable
  • Health and Social Care Qualification is desirable however not necessary.
