Care Assistant – Full Time (35 hours per week)

King William Residential Home is based in Ripley close to Codnor and Belper. The home is accessible by a local bus service. The home accommodates a maximum of 28 residents; consisting of a mix of residential and dementia service users. We have activities throughout the week engaging residents and continually improving the quality of care we provide.

We are dedicated to our staff and residents’ ensuring a high quality of care is delivered at all times. We are looking for someone who is flexible for all shifts – Mornings, Afternoons and Nights.

In order to be successful in the role of a Care Assistant it will require you to:

• Communicate effectively and professionally with all residents, staff and visitors to the home.
• Taking part in activities that are occurring throughout the home as and when required.
• Having compassion towards the residents and ensuring their needs are met at all times.
• When required assist residents to external appointments.
• Assist with personal care and occasionally assisting with meal times.
• Continually work as part of a team

The calibre of care assistant we are looking for will have the following attributes:

• Have a kind and caring nature putting the needs of residents at the front of your mind
• The willingness and ability to go above and beyond for the home and residents
• Have a positive attitude and should be reliable
• Health and Social Care Qualification is desirable however not necessary.
