Deputy Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Deputy Manager at Ashmere Derbyshire Ltd’s brand new home Heanor Park. The home is due to open in early November and we are now looking to put our team together.

Heanor Park will be a 60 bedded Residential home consisting of residential rooms, dementia households and residential apartments. Situated overlooking Heanor Memorial Park, it is easily accessible from both Ripley and Codnor areas as well as the Nottingham & Erewash districts.

As a Deputy at Heanor Park, you will be integral to the delivery of high quality care and support to our home. The role will involve development of strong working relationship with residents and their relatives as well as the wider community.

The Deputy Manager will work as a member of the management team and support the Home Manager. You will help to support the day to day management of the home and maintain and promote the highest standard of care.

You will be at the very heart of our industry, so you are expected to be reliable, dependable and committed to make a difference in our home.

  • You will have at least two years’ experience within a senior management/supervisory position within the Care industry with the ability to organise and delegate staff.
  • You will also demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, have the ability to deal with emergency situations, Boots MDS training, extensive knowledge of illnesses suffered by the elderly, understand health and safety precautions and have an eye for detail.

Rates of pay are dependent on qualifications and experience which will be discussed at interview. Benefits can include an OTE Bonus Scheme, and additional training encouraged. Appointment will be subject to two satisfactory references, medical clearance, an Enhanced DBS check and a six month probationary period.
