The new residents have been settling in well with some Christmas related activities including quizzes and crafts, and have taken a trip to the Heanor Memorial Park, to enjoy some squirrel spotting, which is based right on the edge of the home.

Heanor Park, based in the heart of Heanor, is a 60 bed care home providing residential, dementia, luxury living suites and respite care.

Catherine Bower, Manager, said: “It has been fantastic to see our first few residents moving into Heanor Park and I am really enjoying getting to know them.

“It is amazing to see the home open after all the hard work that was put into making it a completely accessible, happy and family-orientated place to be.”
