Ashmere is extremely proud to announce an employee has won a national award at the Great British Care Awards 2020!
Joy Tompson, who works at The Firs Care Home with Nursing as a domestic assistant won the award for ancillary worker of the year for her fantastic efforts inside and outside of work to make resident’s lives extra special.
June Keys, a resident at The Firs care home in Codnor, had her final wish come true by attending a Derby County match at the weekend in an executive box organised by Ashmere Derbyshire.
Residents from seven of ashmere derbyshire’s care homes have been busy making christmas cakes over the last few weeks which were all entered into a competition and judged by head office staff.
Thursday 8th November saw over 400 of the very best in social care attended a glittering awards ceremony at East Midlands Conference Centre for the finals of the Great East Midlands Care Awards, where the category winners were announced.
Our purpose built residential home has 40 fully furnished en-suite rooms which residents are encouraged to personalise with their own belongings. There are communal areas where residents can make new friends or join in with the many daily activities.
