Yesterday was a very special day for Sandra resident of King William Care Home took the opportunity to get up close and personal with meerkats during a surprise visit to White Post Farm. Sandra, who has always had a deep love for animals, was especially delighted by the chance to interact with these curious creatures.

Upon being informed of the excursion, Sandra's eyes lit up with excitement as she exclaimed, 'Oh can we, that would be so lovely!' With the support of the care home team, Sandra's wish to meet the meerkats up close became a reality.

Venturing into the meerkat enclosure, Sandra was greeted by the playful critters as they scampered around her, eagerly accepting dried worms as treats. Sitting amidst the meerkats, Sandra couldn't help but draw parallels between them and her own beloved cats, Suki and Thumper.

Reflecting on her enchanting experience, Sandra expressed, 'Oh, these are lovely! They remind me of my cats. It has been absolutely beautiful. I would come again, I like animals. This has been beautiful!'
