Joy Tompson, who works at The Firs Care Home with Nursing as a domestic assistant won the award for ancillary worker of the year for her fantastic efforts inside and outside of work to make resident’s lives extra special.

Ashmere Derbyshire had a successful night at the East Midlands Great British Care Awards with five regional finalists and one overall winner.
